Role Description This is a full time, on-site Production Engineer role based in Patiala.
The Production
Engineer will oversee daily production activities, including planning, scheduling, and optimizing manufacturing processes for precision gear-cutting tools.
Responsibilities include monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting production issues, and coordinating with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime. The role involves implementing and maintaining quality control procedures,
analyzing production data to improve efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
The Production
Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, prepare production reports, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and delivery standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Production Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to tooling and manufacturing processes.
- Analytical skills to interpret production data, identify root causes, and drive process improvements.
- Experience in Production Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
- Quality Control skills to implement inspection procedures, monitor product quality, and support corrective actions.
- Effective Communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams, document processes, and present findings clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with CNC machining, cutting tools, or gear manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Proficiency in basic CAD/CAM tools and production-related software is beneficial.
