Reporting To: Production Manager / General Manager

Job Purpose To coordinate and monitor the complete production process of leather garments, ensuring timely production, required quality standards, optimum utilization of resources, and adherence to the production plan and buyer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor daily production activities from cutting to stitching, finishing, packing, and final dispatch.
- Follow up on production plans, T&A; timelines, order priorities, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Cutting, Stores, Quality, Sampling, and Finishing teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Monitor daily production targets versus actual output and identify delays or bottlenecks.
- Ensure the required leather, trims, accessories, labels, and other materials are available before production starts.
- Check leather availability, shade/colour matching, defects, measurement requirements, and utilization.
- Coordinate with the Quality Team to ensure production is carried out according to approved samples, specifications, workmanship standards, and buyer requirements.
- Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) at each production stage and ensure timely movement of orders.
- Maintain daily production reports, production status, pending work, and delay reports.
- Follow up with production supervisors and operators to achieve daily and weekly targets.
- Identify production issues and coordinate with concerned departments for timely corrective action.
- Ensure proper handling and minimum wastage of expensive leather materials.




- Monitor manpower and machine utilization and highlight any shortage or capacity-related issues.
- Coordinate with maintenance for machine breakdowns affecting production.
- Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, housekeeping, and production procedures.
- Participate in production meetings and provide accurate updates on order status and expected completion dates.
- Escalate critical production delays or quality issues to the Production Manager/Management immediately.
- Ensure production files, approved samples, specifications, and required documents are available at the production floor before starting production.

Candidate Profile

- Education: Graduate/Diploma in Production, Garment Technology, Fashion Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 3–7 years of experience in leather garments/apparel production.
- Strong knowledge of leather garment manufacturing processes.
- Good understanding of cutting, stitching, finishing, pressing, and packing.
- Knowledge of leather characteristics, defects, shade variation, and consumption.
- Solid coordination and follow-up skills.
- Good knowledge of Excel, production reports, T&A;, and ERP/MIS systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work according to production requirements and deadlines.
