Key Accountabilities
- Define, document, and optimize manufacturing of automotive structural components like chassis, suspension etc across processes like roll forming, punching, stamping, casting, forging, and machining operations.
- Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Control Plans, PFMEAs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Evaluate and qualify new suppliers for critical manufacturing processes (roll forming, punching, stamping, /casting / forging / heat treatment / surface treatment etc).
- Own and drive manufacturing engineering projects from initiation to closure using structured project management methodologies (APQP / Agile).
- Support resolution of customer complaints (8D, CAPA) with root-cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
- Apply metallurgical knowledge to select appropriate materials for automotive structural components based on strength, weight, and cost requirements.
- Analyze material test reports,
heat treatment records, and failure analysis data to resolve quality concerns
- Collaborate with the Procurement team on supplier selection, cost benchmarking, and make-vs-buy decisions.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Technology, Quality, Production, Commercial and logistics for on-time project delivery
- Coordinate / Support prototype builds.
- Maintain project documentation, lessons-learned databases, and best-practice repositories.
- Promote Metalsa Technology in Industry forums and trade associations.
Academic & Experience M. Tech/ B.E/B.Tech with having minimum experience of 7-12 years for mater engineers and +8 Years for graduate engineers in MFG process, System Tools: APQP, Lean Six Sigma Recent Product Development, Metallurgy & failure analysis.
