The Principal Architect is a senior individual contributor role with organization-wide impact. Unlike implementation consultants who are project-allocated, this role operates horizontally — serving as the go-to expert across all projects, pre-sales, product, and customer-facing engagements. You bring expert-level mastery of the Pagero platform (technical, functional, and country-specific) and a proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable guidance for the entire organization.

Cross-Project Advisory & Escalation

- Function as the senior technical and functional escalation point across all active delivery projects — the resource any project team can turn to for complex platform, integration, or compliance challenges.
- Diagnose and resolve the hardest problems in the delivery portfolio, including edge cases in mandate flows, unusual ERP configurations, and complex data transformation requirements.
- Develop reusable guidance, reference architectures, playbooks, and configuration templates that improve delivery quality and consistency across all projects.

Customer Mandate Guidance

- Serve as the expert resource for customers navigating complex e-invoicing mandate questions — including regulatory interpretation, clearance flows, format specifications, and government portal requirements.
- Engage directly with customer stakeholders and, where needed, with e-invoicing authorities on behalf of customers to obtain formal regulatory clarification.
- Produce or review customer-facing mandate guidance, compliance checklists, and country-specific onboarding materials.





Team Onboarding, Training & Skill Development

- Own the onboarding of new team members into Pagero e-invoicing knowledge — designing and delivering structured onboarding programs that build platform and compliance competency from day one.
- Drive ongoing Pagero skill development across the team through training sessions, certification guidance, knowledge-sharing forums, and hands-on coaching.
- Build and maintain a Pagero learning curriculum and internal knowledge base covering platform capabilities, country mandates, and best-practice implementation patterns.
- Identify skills gaps across the team and develop targeted enablement initiatives in partnership with delivery leadership.

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years in enterprise software implementation, integration, or compliance technology, with significant e-invoicing or tax compliance experience.
- Expert-level, hands-on knowledge of the Pagero platform — architecture, configuration, APIs, country packages, and compliance flows.
- Demonstrated expertise in e-invoicing mandates across multiple geographies; proven ability to interpret regulations and map them to platform capabilities.




- Deep understanding of e-invoicing document types, formats, and flows — B2B, B2G, clearance and post-audit models, AR/AP, and e-reporting.
- Solid technical foundation in integration technologies and data formats: APIs, SFTP, HTTPS, XML, JSON, EDI.
- Solid understanding of ERP landscapes (SAP, Oracle) and O2C/P2P processes across multiple countries.
- Outstanding communication skills — able to translate complex regulatory and technical concepts for executive, commercial, and customer audiences.

Preferred & Added Advantage

- Deep familiarity with Pagero platform internals: onboarding workflows, network connectivity, format libraries, and the Pagero Online portal.
- Active participation in e-invoicing standards bodies or regulatory working groups (e.g., PEPPOL, EN16931, ZATCA, LHDN, SDI, Chorus Pro).
- Experience in product management or solution architecture within an e-invoicing or tax technology organization.
- Formal background in tax, accounting, or finance with practical VAT/GST compliance exposure.
- Track record of advising global enterprise customers on multi-country e-invoicing rollout strategy and mandate readiness.
- You are the person escalation calls go to — and you provide clear, definitive guidance that unblocks teams and builds lasting organizational confidence.
- Proven track record of direct engagement with government tax or e-invoicing authorities.
- You move with equal ease between a product engineering whiteboard, a government authority briefing, and a CFO-level customer conversation.
