Role Description: Power BI Fabric Technical Support / Consultant – Freelancer

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support for Power BI & Microsoft Fabric development.

Understand and troubleshoot complex Power Query / M transformations and data pipelines.

Work with SQL Server / SQL-based data sources and complex joins.

Support data modeling, transformations, calculated fields, and reporting logic.

Troubleshoot issues related to

- Revenue calculations
- USD / FX currency conversion
- Date dimensions and reporting dates
- Deal-level filtering and business rules
- Data enrichment and lookup tables
- Compliance and reporting flags

Analyze and resolve data discrepancies between source systems and Power BI reports. Support integration of multiple transactional, dimension, property, financial, and lookup tables.





Optimize Power BI/Fabric queries and data refresh performance.

- Provide technical guidance and documentation wherever required.

Technical Skills Required

Must Have:

- 3+ years of hands-on Power BI
- Strong Microsoft Fabric knowledge
- Advanced Power Query / M
- Strong SQL
- Power BI Data Modeling
- DAX
- ETL / data transformation concepts
- Experience working with multiple relational tables and complex joins
- Troubleshooting data refresh and transformation issues

Good to Have:

- Microsoft Fabric Data Factory / Data Pipelines
- Lakehouse / Warehouse
- Power BI semantic models
- SQL Server
- Experience with financial/revenue reporting
- Experience handling large datasets and performance optimization

Project Exposure The project involves approximately 22 source/transformation tables, including deal transactions, installments, payments, adjustments, currencies, FX rates, date dimensions, properties, parties, financial data, broker information, and department/entity mappings.
