We are looking for a skilled and responsible Phlebotomist to handle blood sample collection at the clinic as well as home visits. The candidate will also assist with front-desk reception, patient coordination, appointment scheduling, billing, and basic administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Blood Collection
- Perform safe and hygienic blood sample collection from patients.
- Follow proper phlebotomy, infection-control, and sample-handling procedures.
- Properly label, store, and prepare samples for laboratory collection.
- Maintain accurate patient and sample records.
- Coordinate with the laboratory for sample pickup and reports.
2. Home Blood Collection
- Visit patients' homes for blood sample collection as required.
- Handle home visits professionally and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ensure proper transportation and timely submission of collected samples.
- Home-visit assignments will be eligible for additional incentives/payment as per clinic policy.
3. Reception & Patient Coordination
- Welcome and assist patients at the clinic.
- Manage patient appointments and scheduling.
- Answer calls and WhatsApp enquiries professionally.
- Coordinate between patients, physiotherapists, doctors, and laboratory services.
- Maintain patient registration and basic records.
4. Billing & Cash Handling
- Prepare patient bills and receipts.
- Handle cash/UPI/card payments and maintain accurate payment records.
- Follow up on pending payments when required.
- Maintain daily billing and collection records.
- Coordinate with management regarding accounts and discrepancies.
5. General Clinic Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the blood collection area and reception.
- Ensure adequate availability of phlebotomy and reception supplies.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
- Assist with day-to-day administrative activities of the clinic when required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Certificate in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), or relevant qualification.
- Prior experience in blood collection/phlebotomy preferred.
- Valuable knowledge of venipuncture and sample handling.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to handle billing, payments, and patient records.
- Comfortable travelling for home blood collection visits.
- Professional, punctual, responsible, and patient-friendly attitude.
