Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist with around 4 years of experience in a multispecialty hospital. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications safely and accurately, maintaining pharmacy inventory, coordinating with doctors and nursing teams, and ensuring compliance with hospital pharmacy procedures and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispense medicines and other pharmaceutical products accurately against valid prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, allergies, and potential medication-related issues, and escalate concerns to the concerned physician when required.
- Provide appropriate information to patients and healthcare staff regarding medication usage, dosage, precautions, and storage.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other clinical departments regarding medication requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of medicines issued, received, returned, and transferred.
- Monitor pharmacy inventory and ensure adequate stock of essential and emergency medicines.
- Check expiry dates, batch numbers, storage conditions, and product quality regularly.
- Follow proper procedures for high-alert, LASA, narcotic/controlled, and temperature-sensitive medicines, as applicable.
- Manage medication returns, replacements, and near-expiry/expired stock according to hospital policy.




- Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure medicines are stored according to manufacturer and hospital requirements, including cold-chain management where applicable.
- Support medication reconciliation and other pharmacy-related patient-safety initiatives.
- Participate in stock audits, cycle counts, and periodic physical inventory verification.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the pharmacy.
- Follow hospital SOPs, infection-control practices, medication-safety protocols, and applicable pharmacy regulations.
- Support accreditation and quality requirements such as NABH, where applicable.
- Prepare daily/monthly pharmacy reports as required by the Pharmacy Manager/Administration.

Candidate Requirements
- B.Pharm / D.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council, as applicable.
- Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in a multispecialty hospital.
- Good knowledge of prescription handling, dispensing, drug storage, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy software/HIS is preferred.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and medication-safety awareness.
- Ability to work effectively with doctors, nurses, and other hospital departments.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, if required.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
