Role Description The Online English Mentor (US Shift Timing) from 2:30 am - 8:30 am (6 hours) role is a part-time, remote position focused on helping young learners improve their spoken and written English in a virtual classroom environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting online, interactive English sessions aligned with age-appropriate learning goals, using student-centric teaching methods. The mentor will guide learners through conversation practice, reading exercises, vocabulary building, grammar support, and simple writing tasks, while offering constructive feedback and encouragement.

Additional tasks include tracking student progress,



maintaining session records, coordinating with the academic team on curriculum implementation, and communicating with parents or guardians when needed to discuss learner development.

Qualifications

- Strong command of spoken and written English, including grammar, vocabulary, and clear pronunciation suitable for teaching children.
- Experience in online teaching, tutoring, or mentoring, preferably with school-age learners in language or communication skills.
- Ability to use digital tools and online teaching platforms effectively, with a reliable internet connection and suitable equipment.
- Comfort with student-centric, interactive teaching methods, including engaging activities, discussions, and positive reinforcement.
- Good classroom management and communication skills, with the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Availability to work part-time during US shift timings and manage a consistent schedule for virtual sessions.
- Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in English, Education, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in edtech or language training, and familiarity with working with children from diverse backgrounds, is an added advantage.
