About AlphaMind Chess Hub

AlphaMind Chess Hub provides structured online chess coaching to children, teenagers, and adults internationally. We focus on personalized instruction, practical game improvement, clear training direction, and long-term student development.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a reliable and engaging Online Chess Coach based in India to join AlphaMind Chess Hub on a remote contract basis.

The role will begin with a small number of assigned students, with opportunities to take on more students as AlphaMind Chess Hub grows. Additional assignments will depend on teaching quality, reliability, availability, student retention, and demand.

The coach will primarily focus on teaching. AlphaMind Chess Hub will manage student acquisition, coach-student assignment, scheduling coordination, payments, and parent follow-up.

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging one-to-one online chess lessons to assigned students.
- Teach children, teenagers, and adults at appropriate levels.
- Explain chess concepts clearly and adapt lessons to each student’s age, level, goals, and learning style.
- Analyze student games and identify the most important areas for improvement.
- Teach relevant tactics, calculation, strategy, openings, and endgames.
- Use normal screen sharing and online platforms such as Chess.com, Lichess, and Google Meet effectively.
- Follow AlphaMind Chess Hub’s lesson structure, coaching standards, and student-development approach.
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and consistency.
- Keep brief and accurate lesson records and communicate relevant student concerns to the founder.
- Conduct prospective-student assessment sessions when assigned.
- Represent AlphaMind Chess Hub professionally during every interaction.





Who We Are Looking For

- Strong practical chess knowledge and sound understanding of chess fundamentals.
- Previous chess coaching, tutoring, or teaching experience.
- Ability to teach children patiently and keep them engaged during online lessons.
- Clear spoken English and confident communication.
- Ability to simplify difficult chess concepts without overwhelming the student.
- Reliable internet connection, computer, microphone, and a quiet teaching environment.
- Professional, punctual, responsive, and willing to follow established AMCH processes.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and improving through lesson reviews.
- Competitive playing experience, a recognized chess rating, or a chess title is beneficial but not mandatory. Teaching ability will be evaluated separately.

Availability Because many AlphaMind Chess Hub students are based in North America, preferred availability is within 1:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. IST. Coaches are not expected to remain available throughout this entire period. Exact recurring lesson times will be determined according to student demand, coach availability, and mutual scheduling.

Engagement and Compensation

This is a paid, part time remote contract opportunity, with lesson volume beginning gradually. Compensation details will be shared with shortlisted candidates before any teaching-assessment stage.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview and an observed teaching assessment with a real student.
