Our Client is a leading private player in Indias City Gas Distribution sector, supporting Indias energy transition by developing a network of CNG stations, extensive pipelines, and connecting millions of households and businesses to clean, affordable natural gas. The company operates with high standards of reliability, sustainability, and innovation in the oil & gas industry, serving transport, industrial, and domestic customers across multiple states.

Role Purpose To independently audit newly commissioned domestic, commercial and industrial PNG customers and verify installation quality, safety, metering suitability, leakage, consumption patterns and compliance with CGD standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct independent site audits approximately one month after PNG commissioning.
- Inspect PNG installation, meter, regulator, piping, valves, supports, ventilation, IP system and safety clearances.
- Conduct gas leakage checks using approved detection methods.
- Verify meter suitability against approved load/GSA and identify abnormal consumption.
- Check compliance with PNGRB requirements, CGD standards, approved drawings and company SOPs.
- Identify installation defects, unauthorized modifications and safety hazards.
- Review customer consumption, complaints and actual operating conditions.
- Capture geo-tagged/timestamped photographs and videos as audit evidence.
- Categorize observations as Critical,



Major or Minor and recommend corrective actions.
- Immediately escalate critical safety issues and gas leakages.
- Submit customer-wise audit reports directly to the Head Office and prepare monthly consolidated audit reports.

Qualification & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech: Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Instrumentation + minimum 1 year CGD experience; OR
- Diploma: Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Instrumentation + minimum 3 years CGD experience.
- Experience in PNG installation inspection/audits is preferred.
- Knowledge of PNGRB regulations, CGD standards and SOPs.
- Comfortable with digital inspection apps, GPS-based reporting and photographic documentation.

Required Competencies

- Strong understanding of PNG/CGD installation, safety and metering systems.
- Ability to identify gas leakages, installation deficiencies and unsafe conditions.
- Robust field inspection, documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to independently assess customer installations and provide evidence-based observations.
- Good analytical skills to identify abnormal consumption and recurring installation issues.
- High level of integrity, independence and attention to detail.
