As part of our growth, we are currently seeking Lead Piping Design Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with proven team leadership and EPC project execution experience.
The ideal candidate will be capable of taking ownership of the piping discipline, driving design quality and delivery, managing client and stakeholder interfaces, and guiding engineering teams through complex plant projects from concept through execution.
Job Mission
Lead the piping design and plant layout team to deliver protected, compliant, constructible, and high-quality piping solutions while ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor piping design and plant layout teams, including task allocation, planning, and progress monitoring.
- Define piping scope, deliverables, resources, and man-hours for proposals, Concept, FEED, and Detailed Engineering phases.
- Lead piping design and plant layout activities for medium to large-scale EPC projects.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, construction teams, and other engineering disciplines.
- Lead 3D model reviews, ensuring constructability, safety, accessibility, and clash-free design.
- Review piping layouts, supports, material specifications, MTOs, isometrics, and engineering deliverables.
- Review piping stress analysis, nozzle loads, and support requirements using CAESAR II.
- Ensure compliance with ASME B31.3, API, ASTM, ISO, AWWA, and project-specific standards.
- Support project reporting, technical issue resolution, and site execution.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
- Minimum 15 years of overall experience, including at least 5 years in a Lead Piping Design/Engineering role.
- Experience delivering at least two medium-to-large EPC plant projects.
- Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Experience across Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Proposal phases.
- Proven experience leading piping design and plant layout teams.
- Strong client-facing and multidisciplinary coordination skills.

- AVEVA E3D / SmartPlant 3D
- CAESAR II
- AutoCAD / MicroStation
- Navisworks / SPR
- Strong knowledge of international piping codes and standards.
- Experience with plant layout, piping design, stress analysis, material specifications, MTOs, and vendor document review.
