Job Summary The NPD – Packaging Executive will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and implementing packaging solutions for new products and existing product improvements. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, packaging vendors, and manufacturing units to ensure packaging meets product, quality, cost, regulatory, and timeline requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop packaging concepts for new product launches in coordination with the NPD, Marketing, and Production teams.
- Identify suitable packaging materials, formats, and specifications based on product requirements.
- Coordinate with packaging vendors for sample development, quotations, and trials.
- Conduct packaging trials and evaluate performance, durability, compatibility, and appearance.
- Ensure packaging complies with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Prepare and maintain packaging specifications, artwork approvals, and technical documentation.
- Work closely with Design and Marketing teams to finalize packaging artwork and branding elements.
- Monitor packaging costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Support the transition from development stage to commercial production.
- Investigate and resolve packaging-related issues during production or after product launch.
- Maintain records of packaging samples, specifications, vendor details, and project timelines.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Procurement,



Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely execution of packaging projects.
- Keep updated with new packaging materials, technologies, sustainability trends, and industry developments.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Packaging Technology, Food Technology, Printing Technology, Polymer Science, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in packaging development, NPD, or packaging operations.
- Experience in cosmetics, food, pharmaceuticals, or consumer products is preferred.

Skills Required

- Good knowledge of packaging materials such as paper, corrugated boxes, plastic, glass, metal, and flexible packaging.
- Understanding of packaging development processes and manufacturing techniques.
- Knowledge of packaging testing and quality standards.
- Solid vendor coordination and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional teamwork.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines.
