Role Description The MEP Cost Manager and MEP Assistant Cost Manager roles are full-time positions in a hybrid work model, based in Mumbai with a mix of office and work-from-home flexibility. These roles are responsible for preparing, reviewing, and updating MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) cost estimates, budgets, and BOQs across various projects. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing drawings and specifications, coordinating with design and project teams, tracking cost variations, and supporting tendering and negotiation processes with vendors and contractors.

Both roles involve monitoring actual costs versus budgets, preparing periodic cost reports, and supporting value engineering to optimize project expenditure without compromising quality.

The Assistant Cost

Manager will support the Cost Manager in documentation, data analysis,



and coordination, while progressively taking ownership of assigned packages and tasks.

Qualifications

- Solid MEP cost estimation and quantity surveying skills, including experience with BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost control for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking using spreadsheets and cost management tools; ability to prepare clear cost reports and dashboards.
- Knowledge of tendering processes, vendor evaluation, and contract-related documentation, including comparisons, negotiations support, and value engineering inputs.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to work with project managers, consultants, site teams, and vendors in a collaborative manner.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to data analysis and decision-making.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Experience in real estate or large-scale building projects in India; familiarity with local codes, standards, and market rates is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
