Role Description The Medical Coding Instructor/Mentor is a full-time, in office role based in Hyderabad. This role involves delivering structured classroom training in medical coding and related health information subjects, using clear, engaging instructional methods. The instructor/mentor will design lesson plans, create learning materials, and assess student progress through assignments, tests, and practical exercises.

Day-to-day responsibilities include explaining medical terminology and coding standards, guiding learners through real-world coding scenarios,



providing individualized feedback, and supporting learners in exam preparation and career readiness. The role also includes collaborating with other trainers, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations, and contributing to continuous improvement of the training curriculum.

Qualifications

- Coding Experience and Medical Coding skills, with the ability to teach and mentor learners in practical coding applications.
- Knowledge of Health Information Management principles and RHIT or equivalent credential (or eligibility), to support accurate and compliant training.
- Strong understanding of Medical Terminology and its application to clinical documentation and coding.
- Prior experience in teaching, training, or mentoring adults, preferably in healthcare or medical coding programs.
- Relevant academic background in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a learner-centered and inclusive teaching approach.
- Ability to organize course content, manage classroom dynamics, and use digital tools to support instruction and assessment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical coding standards and regulatory changes.
