Role Description This is a remote freelance role for a Mechanical Designer.

The Mechanical

Designer will work closely with the engineering and product teams to design mechanical components and assemblies for medical and wellness devices. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, developing mechanical concepts, and refining designs based on functional, safety, and manufacturing requirements. The role involves collaborating on AI-powered and IoT-enabled product designs, supporting prototype development,



and preparing documentation for production and assembly. The freelancer is expected to manage their schedule, meet agreed deadlines, and communicate progress clearly in a virtual, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design for medical or electronic products.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
- Candidates should possess abilities in Technical Drawing for creating clear, manufacturable engineering documentation.
- Candidates should possess experience in Research and Development (R&D;) for iterating concepts, prototyping, and testing mechanical solutions.
- Relevant experience with healthcare devices, embedded systems enclosures, or IoT hardware is beneficial.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability, materials selection, and basic tolerance/fit analysis is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote freelance setup.
- A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
