About Muttonly:

Muttonly Farms Private Limited is Bangalore's first premium fresh goat meat brand, redefining how India buys mutton. We are building a premium fresh goat meat retail store in Bangalore, launching Q4 2026.

The Role:

We are looking for a hands-on meat business expert who has built or managed a fresh meat retail store from scratch. Someone who knows the business inside out - from setting up the store to training the butcher to managing daily procurement and waste.

What You Will Do:

- Design store layout - display counter, butchering area, cold storage, customer experience
- Set up procurement process - daily sourcing from abattoirs, quality checks, yield calculations
- Define and train staff on signature cuts - curry cut, biryani cut, keema, trotters, liver, bone-in
- Build SOPs for daily opening, operations, and closing
- Advise on equipment - display chillers, bone saw, vacuum sealer, weighing scales, POS
- Ensure full FSSAI compliance across the store
- Set up supplier network - abattoirs, farms, logistics partners in Karnataka
- Build product catalogue with pricing for every cut




- Train staff on hygiene, food safety, customer handling
- Set up end-of-day inventory and waste management process
- Be present and hands-on during launch week

What We Are Looking For:

- Minimum 5 years experience in fresh meat retail or processing
- Deep knowledge of goat meat - cuts, yield, quality grading, procurement
- Prior experience setting up a fresh meat retail store from scratch — strongly preferred
- Knowledge of FSSAI regulations for meat retail
- Experience with brands like Licious, Nandu's Chicken, FreshToHome, TenderCuts or similar is a strong plus
- Based in Bangalore or willing to relocate immediately
- Hands-on, practical, startup-friendly mindset
- Existing supplier network in Karnataka meat ecosystem is a bonus
