Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Production, Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, or MBA/PGDM in Operations/Management.
- Experience: Around 10+ years in wooden packaging, pallet/crate manufacturing, production, or industrial packaging.
- Technical knowledge: Wooden pallets, crates, boxes, dunnage, timber sizing, moisture control, quality control and production planning.
- Export knowledge: Valuable understanding of ISPM-15 requirements, especially if the company supplies export packaging. India requires applicable wood packaging used for exports to comply with ISPM-15.
- Management skills: Production, manpower, procurement, costing, inventory, customer handling, safety and dispatch.
- ISPM-15 knowledge: Heat treatment/fumigation, marking and documentation. India’s system involves accredited treatment facilities/providers and the official ISPM mark.
