Job Title: Incineration Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and operating incineration equipment for the safe, efficient, and compliant disposal of waste, including monitoring process controls like temperature and pressure, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring adherence to strict safety and environmental regulations.

Main responsibilities include waste handling, record-keeping, equipment checks, and troubleshooting operational issues.

Operation and monitoring:

- Oversee and control the incineration system's daily operations, including monitoring temperatures, pressures, and waste feed rates to ensure optimal performance.

Waste management:

- Manage the receipt, storage, treatment, and disposal of waste in line with legal and company requirements. This can involve operating vehicles and machinery like forklifts to move waste containers.

Maintenance:

- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on incinerator machinery and related equipment to ensure continued safe and efficient operation.

Safety and compliance:





- Strictly follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Monitor emissions and ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.

Record-keeping:

- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all operational activities, maintenance, and compliance checks as required.

Troubleshooting:

- Identify and resolve operational issues, using experience to troubleshoot problems that arise during the process.

Key skills & Competencies:

Technical skills:

- Knowledge of hazardous materials is essential. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn complex systems are crucial.

Safety skill:

- A strong emphasis on safety procedures and compliance is critical due to the hazardous nature of the work workplace.

Soft skills:

- Teamwork, communication (for shift handovers), problem-solving, and strong attention to detail are highly important.

Education Qualifications:

- A bachelors or master degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

Experience:

- 2-3 years’ Experience in industrial process control systems is often necessary.
