– Logistics Manager Position: Logistics Manager Department: Supply Chain / Logistics Industry: Toys Manufacturing Location: Rampura, Bangalore Employment Type: Full-Time Reporting To: Management / Operations Head Job PurposeWe are looking for an experienced and responsible Logistics Manager to manage the complete inbound and outbound logistics operations of our toys manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely movement of raw materials, imported components, finished goods, and customer dispatches while maintaining proper documentation, compliance, cost control, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities1.
Inbound
LogisticsPlan and coordinate receipt of raw materials, components, packaging materials, and other supplies. Coordinate with suppliers, purchase team, transporters, and warehouse for timely material movement. Track incoming shipments and ensure materials reach the factory as per production requirements. Coordinate unloading, verification, shortage/damage reporting, and material receipt. Follow up on delayed or critical materials affecting production schedules. 2.
Outbound
Logistics &
- Customer DispatchesPlan daily and weekly dispatches of finished goods based on customer POs and delivery schedules. Coordinate with Production, Quality, Warehouse, Accounts, and Sales teams before dispatch. Arrange suitable vehicles depending on quantity, weight, volume, and delivery location. Ensure timely deliveries to customer warehouses, distribution centres, retailers, e-commerce partners, and other locations. Coordinate customer delivery appointments wherever required. Track shipments until final delivery and POD confirmation. Handle delivery delays, shortages, damages, rejections, and return shipments.
- Import &
- Export LogisticsCoordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, CHA/customs brokers, and transporters. Track import shipments from supplier pickup until factory delivery. Coordinate customs clearance and ensure availability of required documents.
Review Commercial
Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, Bill of Entry, Certificate of Origin and other shipping documents. Coordinate container movement, detention, demurrage, port charges, and transportation. Support export shipments, customs clearance, shipping documentation, and delivery coordination. Maintain proper records of import/export shipments. 4.

- ComplianceEnsure accurate preparation and verification of: Tax Invoice Delivery Challan E-Way Bill Packing List Transport documents / LR E-Invoice wherever applicable Bill of Entry Shipping Bill POD and delivery acknowledgement Ensure logistics activities comply with GST, customs and applicable statutory requirements. Maintain organized records for internal, statutory, customer and audit requirements.
- Transporter &
- Vendor ManagementDevelop and maintain a reliable transporter and logistics vendor network. Negotiate freight rates, vehicle rates, loading/unloading charges, and other logistics costs. Compare quotations and select cost-effective transport options. Monitor transporter performance based on cost, delivery time, vehicle availability and service quality. Verify transporter bills before submitting them to Accounts for payment. Resolve disputes relating to freight, shortage, damage, detention or delayed deliveries.
- Warehouse &
- Inventory CoordinationCoordinate with the warehouse team for dispatch readiness. Ensure FIFO/FEFO or required stock movement practices are followed wherever applicable. Monitor finished goods pending for dispatch. Ensure correct SKU, quantity, batch, packaging, labels and customer-specific requirements before loading. Support stock reconciliation and physical inventory activities. Monitor rejected, returned and damaged goods.
- Production &
- Dispatch PlanningWork closely with Production and PPC teams to understand production completion schedules. Prepare dispatch plans based on finished goods availability and customer requirements. Prioritize urgent deliveries and communicate risks in advance. Ensure logistics constraints do not delay customer deliveries.
- Cost ControlMonitor freight cost per shipment / unit. Identify opportunities for vehicle consolidation and route optimization. Reduce unnecessary detention, demurrage, waiting, loading and unloading charges. Maintain monthly logistics cost reports. Analyse planned vs. actual freight expenses.

- ReportingPrepare and maintain reports including:
Daily Dispatch Report Pending Dispatch Report Shipment Tracking Report Transporter Performance Report POD Pending Report Import Shipment Status Freight Cost Analysis Customer Delivery Status Detention / Demurrage Report Logistics Monthly MIS 10. Team &
- Cross-Functional CoordinationSupervise logistics executives, dispatch coordinators, drivers and loading teams as applicable.
Coordinate closely with: Purchase Production PPC Warehouse Quality Accounts Sales Customer service Management Escalate critical shipment or delivery issues to management on time.
Candidate Requirements Qualification: Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Logistics / Supply Chain , preferably in a manufacturing environment. Candidates having experience in toys, consumer products, FMCG, plastics, electronics, retail or e-commerce supply chains will be preferred.
Required
SkillsStrong knowledge of domestic transportation and dispatch operations. Good understanding of import/export procedures. Knowledge of customs clearance and shipping documentation. Understanding of GST, E-Way Bill and E-Invoice requirements.
Experience dealing with transporters, CHA, freight forwarders and shipping lines. Strong negotiation and cost-control skills. Positive knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems. Strong planning and follow-up abilities. Good communication and vendor-management skills. Ability to handle multiple shipments and urgent deliveries simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.

The candidate should be comfortable working closely with production teams as well as external transporters, freight forwarders, CHA and customers and should be able to manage urgent situations without compromising compliance or documentation.
