This role will work at the intersection of product, technology, regulation, and business, partnering closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to build products, partnerships, and commercial frameworks that are both compliant and commercially viable.

What You’ll Do

Product & Regulatory Advisory

- Act as the primary legal partner for GoKwik’s fintech, SaaS, payments, and digital financial services ecosystem.
- Partner with Product, Business, and Technology teams on product structuring, feature development, customer journeys, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Advise on applicable regulatory frameworks and assess the legal implications of new products, business models, partnerships, and technology integrations.
- Enable legally compliant and commercially viable product launches while balancing innovation, business objectives, and regulatory risk.
- Track evolving regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance for business and leadership.
- Partner with industry bodies and associations on regulatory representations, advocacy notes, and white papers for submission to the RBI and other regulatory authorities.




- Drive legal oversight of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework, including privacy obligations, policies, contractual safeguards, governance, risk assessment, and ongoing compliance.
- Bring strong understanding of Payment Aggregator regulations, Digital Lending Guidelines, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Commercial Contracts & Strategic Transactions
- Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and closure of complex commercial agreements across the fintech and technology ecosystem.
- Draft and negotiate MSAs, SaaS subscription agreements, order forms, SLAs, NDAs, DPAs, and other commercial contracts.
- Work on agreements with banks, NBFCs, payment networks, technology vendors, enterprise clients, aggregators, merchants, and strategic partners.
- Support strategic partnerships, platform integrations, business collaborations, and market expansion initiatives.
- Build and maintain scalable contracting frameworks, standard templates, clause libraries, negotiation playbooks, and approval processes.
- Drive efficient contract lifecycle management and approval workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Legal Operations
- Work closely with Product, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Technology, and Business teams to enable business priorities while managing legal and regulatory risk.
- Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical, business-oriented solutions.




- Improve legal operations through process optimisation, automation, and contract lifecycle management.
- Strengthen legal governance and contracting practices as GoKwik scales.

Who You Are

- Legal professional with 4–6 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably across fintech, payments, SaaS, technology, or digital financial services.
- Strong understanding of the RBI regulatory ecosystem, with exposure to Payment Aggregator and Digital Lending regulations.
- Experience advising product and business teams on regulatory and commercial matters.
- Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating commercial, technology, SaaS, and partnership agreements.
- Exposure to DPDP, data privacy, technology integrations, and strategic partnerships.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders and translating complex legal requirements into clear, actionable advice.
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Someone who sees legal as a business enabler, not just a risk-control function.
