This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead/Senior Consultant - Automation QE ?? based in India.

This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineering professional who wants to shape quality strategy while remaining close to hands-on delivery. You will lead quality engineering practices across complex digital products and help teams build quality into every stage of the software lifecycle. The role combines automation expertise, technical leadership, client advisory, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

You will work with modern cloud-native platforms, contemporary testing frameworks, and Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery practices. As a trusted technical advisor, you will influence senior stakeholders while helping engineering teams adopt scalable and effective QE practices. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to thought leadership, team development, and the evolution of a growing QE practice.

Accountabilities:

- Lead Quality Engineering strategy and promote best practices across projects, ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Champion a “bake quality in” approach by coaching teams and helping engineers adopt effective testing, automation, Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery practices.
- Provide technical guidance on functional and non-functional testing strategies, frameworks, automation approaches, and quality processes.
- Work closely with delivery teams from discovery and inception through development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Design, build, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks and provide hands-on QE expertise across projects.

- Develop and improve QE programs, processes, standards, and training initiatives to strengthen team capabilities.
- Identify quality, delivery, and technical risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement, contributing practical solutions to avoid project roadblocks.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and provide strategic advice on testing, quality methodologies, and continuous improvement.

- Mentor and coach QEs and other technical team members, encouraging knowledge sharing, collaboration, and professional development.
- Contribute to recruitment, capability development,



and retention of QE professionals.
- Support the technical roadmap by identifying opportunities to improve engineering practices, automation, scalability, and delivery quality.

- Contribute to thought leadership through industry presentations, technical content, blogs, social media initiatives, meetups, conferences, and professional forums.
- Promote a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented engineering culture while acting as an advocate for quality across client and internal teams.

Requirements

- 7–8 years of professional experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, Test Automation, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong experience with object-oriented programming and professional proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Strong experience with modern automation and performance testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, WebDriver, Appium, and Gatling.
- Experience creating test strategies, test plans, automation approaches, and quality assurance frameworks.

- Robust experience with automated API and web-service testing, including Postman, REST/API testing, XML, and JSON.
- Experience with test data management and test environment management.
- Practical experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and working with modern DevOps practices.

- Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Basic understanding of DevOps technologies and practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Experience writing and working with SQL queries.

- Strong understanding of QE, QA, Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery, and software development lifecycle practices.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and developing other team members.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.





- Ability to work effectively in a consultancy or client-facing environment and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Passion for emerging testing technologies and a commitment to continuously improving quality engineering practices.
- A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to balance strategic leadership and hands-on technical contribution.
