Position Title: Lead QC Lab

Level: Executives

Reporting To: Head QC (Site)/Site QC Lead

Position Purpose The Lead QC Lab is responsible for monitoring of technical aspects in Quality control operations related to testing of RM/In-process and finished goods.

Strategic Responsibilities

- Assist Head QC Site in quality related initiatives at plant level
- Plan to achieve optimum performance and output from the instruments

Operational Responsibilities

- Day to day monitoring of testing activities to ensure correct and timely testing
- Ensure implementation of preventive routine maintenance and calibrations of the instruments as per schedule
- Performance verifications of test methods for recent molecules
- Planning for lab consumables and resources required for analysis support.
- Implement system checks and assurance of testing data through Intra-laboratory testing
- Validation of test methods developed in-house
- Comply to all requirements of ISO-17025: 2005 standard as Technical Manager
- Planning for new products analysis, resources planning
- Implement quality initiatives taken for improvement in quality systems, cost and people improvements
- Eliminate productivity losses due to incorrect and delayed testing
- Ensure product quality data checks and verifications for FG to eliminate customer complaints




- Ensure implementation of management systems related to Quality, HSE and NABL in the function
- Achieve the compliance to process performance indicators as identified in functional objectives
- Maintain the laboratory expenditure as per approved budget
- Implement the cost saving initiatives in the Quality function

- Ensure safety & high productivity at the workplace
- Training execution for new products manufacturing and skill up gradation.
- To provide training to sub-ordinates for testing during new molecule manufacture.
- Guide the sub-ordinates/team members to trouble shoot the problems faced during instrumental and Chemical Analysis Select and Appoint Officers for the Admin Department
- Monitor and review performance of sub-ordinates

Education Qualification M. SC in Analytical / Organic Chemistry

Work Experience

5-7 years in Quality Control Department
