Role Description The Junior Site Engineer (Civil) will be responsible for supporting daily site operations for civil construction projects at Avodha’s Kochi location. This full-time, on-site role involves assisting with supervision of construction activities, monitoring work progress, and ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with design plans, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role includes coordinating with senior engineers, contractors, and vendors, maintaining site records, and preparing basic reports and documentation.

Engineer will help with quantity checks, material inspections, and verification of measurements, as well as contribute to problem-solving for site-related issues. This position offers practical exposure to civil engineering practices,

Qualifications

- Civil engineering foundation: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with understanding of construction materials, structural fundamentals, and basic project workflows.
- Site execution and supervision: Ability to support site supervision, monitor daily activities, verify quantities, and ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Technical and analytical skills: Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, measurement techniques, and the use of common civil engineering tools; familiarity with MS Office and entry-level construction software is beneficial.
- Communication and coordination: Robust written and verbal communication skills for interacting with engineers, contractors, and suppliers; ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Organization and documentation: Competence in maintaining site logs, updating progress reports, tracking materials, and documenting issues and resolutions accurately.
- Professional attributes: Willingness to work on-site in Kochi, attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, adaptability to changing site conditions, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Beneficial experience: Internship or prior exposure to construction sites, knowledge of local building codes and practices, and interest in continuous learning and skill development.
