- Job Overview:

The Junior Mechanical Draughtsman is responsible for preparing and modifying 2D drawings under the guidance of senior engineers and designers. The role involves learning fabrication drawing standards, supporting the preparation of manufacturing drawings, maintaining drawing records, and assisting the engineering team in delivering accurate project documentation.
- Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare 2D fabrication and assembly drawings using AutoCAD.
- Assist in preparing detailed manufacturing drawings for steel structures, vessels, tanks, piping, and fabricated components.
- Support the preparation of Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Learn and follow engineering drawing standards and company drafting procedures.
- Revise drawings based on engineer or client comments.
- Maintain drawing revisions and document control records.
- Coordinate with the production team to understand fabrication requirements.




- Ensure drawings are completed accurately and within project timelines.
- Assist senior draughtsmen in preparing Plate Cutting Layouts (PCL) and fabrication details.
- Follow quality standards and engineering best practices while preparing drawings.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of engineering drawings.
- Key Skills:
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (2D).
- Understanding of engineering drawing fundamentals.
- Knowledge of mechanical components and fabrication drawings.
- Good visualization and drafting skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn recent software and fabrication standards.
- Time management and problem-solving ability.
- Qualification: ITI (Draughtsman Mechanical) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience:
- 0–1 year of experience.
- Freshers with good AutoCAD knowledge are encouraged to apply.
- Internship or industrial training in fabrication, heavy engineering, or steel structures will be an added advantage.
