Role Description The Junior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore.

The Junior

Accountant will assist in daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and processing invoices and receipts. The role involves supporting month-end and year-end closings, reconciling bank statements, and preparing basic financial reports for management review. The individual will help ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards, coordinate with other departments on billing and expense queries,



and maintain organized financial documentation.

This position also includes assisting senior accounting staff with audits, budgeting activities, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Qualifications

- Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and strong MS Excel skills, including spreadsheets and basic formulas.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills for handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with finance and non-finance team members.
- Ability to work in office in Coimbatore and maintain confidentiality of financial information with high ethical standards.
- Educational background in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree or Diploma preferred).
- Prior internship or up to 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role is an advantage, especially in the travel or services industry.
