About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Architect specializing in Java to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in bridging technical expertise with strategic project management, ensuring the successful delivery of enterprise-level Java applications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modernizing legacy systems, developing robust APIs, and implementing cloud-native solutions. As an Associate Architect, you will collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, and lead the development teams to achieve project goals. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing, enhancing, and maintaining high-quality software architectures aligned with industry best practices.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive technical background with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Java application development and architecture. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields is required; a master's degree is preferred.
Proven experience in enterprise application modernization,
especially upgrading legacy systems to Java 17/21/25, is highly desirable. Candidates should have extensive hands-on experience with J2EE, Spring Boot, REST and SOAP APIs, Microservices architecture, and cloud platforms such as AWS. Proficiency in tools like Git, Maven, and JFrog is essential.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles, database management (SQL/NoSQL), and application security is expected. The candidate should demonstrate familiarity with Agile methodologies, unit and integration testing, and automated code modernization tools like AWS Transform Custom (ATX). Excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to lead technical teams are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities The Associate Architect will be responsible for engaging with clients for project briefing, consultation, installation, and project close-out reviews. You will support the design, development, enhancement, and modernization of enterprise Java applications, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
Managing customer demands and expectations will be key to maintaining client satisfaction while aligning deliverables with project scope and timelines. You will negotiate project requirements and specifications, assisting in creating detailed technical documentation. Supervising activities between internal teams and external resources to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery is essential.
You will evaluate project data for accuracy, set project targets, and prioritize tasks effectively. Mentoring and training team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge is part of your leadership responsibilities.
Staying updated with current industry practices and emerging technologies will help improve service standards and delivery.
You will review customer technical requirements, assist in identifying optimal solutions for system integration, and ensure the robustness and maintainability of APIs and architectures. Conducting research on new trends, tools, and methodologies to incorporate innovative solutions into projects will be a continuous part of your role. Additionally, you will perform other technical duties as required, ensuring adherence to best coding practices and architectural standards across the development lifecycle.
