Role Description The IT Structured Cabling Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. This role involves installing, terminating, and testing structured cabling systems for data, voice, and network infrastructure in commercial environments. The engineer will interpret site plans and technical drawings, perform cable routing, labeling, and documentation, and ensure adherence to industry standards and safety practices.

Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving cabling-related issues, coordinating with project managers and IT teams, and supporting network deployments and upgrades. The role also includes conducting site surveys, maintaining tools and equipment,



and ensuring high-quality workmanship and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to identify, analyze, and resolve cabling and connectivity issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess solid Information Technology and Networking skills to understand network topologies, hardware interfaces, and structured cabling requirements.
- Candidates should possess experience in Technical Support to assist internal teams and clients with cabling-related incidents and service requests.
- Candidates should possess awareness of Network Security principles to support secure cabling layouts and protect critical infrastructure.
- Relevant experience in structured cabling installation (copper and fiber), including crimping, splicing, and testing with appropriate tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards (such as TIA/EIA), cable management best practices, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, and cable schedules; strong attention to detail in labeling and documentation.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in client environments and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Minimum of a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., cabling or networking) are an advantage.
