FAST Metallurgy is an international manufacturer and supplier of high-performance materials and components for the PVD coating industry. We serve customers worldwide and specialize in sputtering targets, arc cathodes, and customized products made from materials such as chromium, titanium, zirconium, tungsten carbide, and various alloys.

To support our growing international business, we are looking for an Internal Back Office Engineer – Customer & Technical Support to join our team in India.

Your Role In this position, you will work closely with our international sales, production, logistics, and management teams. You will support the complete customer order process while also providing basic technical assistance for customer inquiries.

This position is ideal for someone with an engineering or technical background who also enjoys commercial work, customer communication, and organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the processing of international customer orders from inquiry through delivery
- Prepare quotations, order confirmations, and other commercial documents
- Review customer purchase orders and ensure that prices, quantities, specifications, and delivery requirements are correct
- Communicate with customers regarding orders, delivery schedules, documentation, and technical questions
- Understand customer drawings, dimensions, material specifications, and basic technical requirements
- Coordinate technical inquiries internally with our engineering and production teams
- Follow up on open quotations, orders, and customer requests
- Coordinate with production and logistics to ensure orders are completed and shipped on time
- Maintain customer, quotation, and order information in our internal systems
- Assist with shipping, export, and other documentation when required
- Support our international sales team with day-to-day customer service activities




- Help resolve order discrepancies and customer issues
- Support management with reports, customer information, and other back-office activities

Your Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field
- Good technical understanding and willingness to learn about materials and manufacturing processes
- Ability to understand technical drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with numbers, pricing, and commercial documents
- Good written and spoken English
- Professional and confident communication with international customers
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks
- Customer-oriented and solution-focused mindset

We are not looking for a pure salesperson or a pure design engineer. We are looking for someone who understands technical products and enjoys organizing, communicating, and helping customers.

You should be comfortable receiving a customer inquiry, understanding what the customer needs, coordinating the technical and commercial details internally, and helping ensure that the customer receives the correct product on time.
