Position Title : Industrial Engineer - Aerospace & Defence

Department : Product Development

Location : HARTING Manufacturing India, Thirumizhasai, Chennai

Position Summary

HARTING Company Introduction– High-performance connection technology forms the basis of industrial application and product technology. The HARTING range of products and solutions comprises connectors, device connection technology and network components. HARTING products connect machines and facilities via data, signal and power. HARTING employs around 5,000 people across its 44 sales companies and 14 production locations.

- Design to manufacturing feasibility analysis, Review technical manufacturing feasibility
- Knowledge of the glass beading process (like potting and glue sealing); the candidate must have experience in Aerospace component manufacturing companies
- Knowledge on New Product Development (NPD) of electro-mechanical products and the NPI/NPD process of development.
- Knowledge in diecasting, plastics,



rubber & sheet metal component development, and manufacturing and assembly processes.
- develop the assembly lines for New Product Developments
- Coordinate with suppliers for component development and get the right part.
- Hands-on experience in the design and development of assembly line equipment and fixtures required for the new product assembly line and the ability to set up a recent assembly line.
- Experience to determine production processes, develop process flow charts/layout charts, PFMEA, and work instructions, create specifications for the equipment, and estimate manufacturing costs & investments required for the project.
- Ability to perform APQP & PPAP.
- Ability to estimate the process-wise cycle time
- Determine capacity requirements of production equipment and knowledge of product packaging.
- Having experience in connector design will be an added advantage.
- Develop and build prototypes to measure their level of function.
- Knowledge on the Engineering Change Notification process and part setup in SAP.
- Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem-solve effectively.
