Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the IBMi systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform system backups and recovery operations to safeguard data integrity.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application deployment and maintenance.
- Document procedures, configurations, and system changes for knowledge sharing.
Skills and Qualifications
- 4-9 years of experience in IBMi administration or relevant field.
- Solid knowledge of IBMi operating systems and related technologies.
- Experience with SQL and database management on IBMi.
- Familiarity with system performance monitoring tools and techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues effectively.
- Understanding of security protocols and best practices for IBMi systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
