Integration Developer – IBM ACE/IIB & API Gateway

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Developer with hands-on experience in IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), and API Gateway development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise integration solutions and APIs that enable seamless communication between internal and external systems. The role requires expertise in API-led integration, message transformation, middleware technologies, and cloud/on-premises integration architectures.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy integration solutions using IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
- Develop and maintain APIs using enterprise API Gateway platforms.
- Create message flows, ESQL modules, Java compute nodes, and integration services.
- Design RESTful and SOAP web services and integrate them with backend applications.
- Implement API security mechanisms including OAuth, JWT, API Keys, SSL/TLS, and traffic management policies.
- Develop message transformations between JSON, XML, CSV, and other data formats.
- Integrate enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, databases, cloud applications, and third-party platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to integrations, APIs, and middleware components.
- Perform unit testing, system integration testing, performance testing, and deployment activities.
- Monitor integration solutions and ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams to deliver integration requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for development, documentation,



and deployment.
- Support CI/CD implementation and DevOps processes for integration platforms.

Professional & Technical Skills

- 5+ years of experience in enterprise application integration and middleware development.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and/or IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
- Experience in API Gateway development and management (IBM API Connect, CA API Gateway, or similar platforms).
- Proficiency in ESQL, Java, XML, JSON, XSD, WSDL, and REST/SOAP services.
- Experience with MQ technologies such as IBM MQ.
- Strong knowledge of API design standards and integration patterns.
- Experience working with SQL databases like Oracle and database connectivity.
- Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Mandatory skills required: IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM MQ, API Gateway Development, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, ESQL, Java, XML, JSON, Git.
- Experience with IBM API Connect.
- Knowledge of event-driven and microservices architectures.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Understanding of security standards and protocols including OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL, and SAML.
- IBM ACE/IIB or API Connect certifications are a plus.

Additional Information

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Recent Relic.
- This position is based in Chennai.
- A 15 years full-time education is required.
