Role Description The Home Interior Designer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The person in this role will collaborate with clients to understand their lifestyle, functional needs, and aesthetic preferences, and translate these into well-planned interior design concepts. Daily responsibilities include developing space plans, selecting materials and finishes, creating mood boards, preparing detailed drawings, and coordinating FF&E; (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selections.

The designer will work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure designs are executed as planned, within budget, and on schedule.



The role also involves regular site visits, monitoring installation quality, and making design adjustments as needed to deliver a high standard of craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Ability to manage spatial layouts effectively, with solid skills in Space Planning and Interior Design.
- Foundation in Architecture or interior architecture, with understanding of structural considerations and building standards.
- Proficiency in preparing and reading Construction Drawings and technical design documentation.
- Experience in FF&E; selection, including furniture, fixtures, equipment, materials, and finishes aligned with design concepts and budgets.
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D rendering tools).
- Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to present concepts clearly and handle feedback professionally.
- Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to oversee multiple residential projects concurrently.
- Experience in residential interiors and familiarity with local vendors, materials, and execution practices in Chennai is an advantage.
