GM Senior Operations– Office Interior Design & Build
Role Overview The GM - Senior Operations will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of all interior design and fit-out projects, ensuring on-time delivery, quality control, cost management, and seamless coordination between design, procurement, and execution teams. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple interior projects from concept to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ensure adherence to project scope, cost, and quality standards.
2. Team Management & Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers, site engineers, and coordinators.
- Assign roles and responsibilities to ensure effective execution of projects.
- Conduct performance evaluations and training programs for the project team.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, vendors, and contractors.
- Ensure clear communication between design, procurement, and execution teams.
- Conduct regular client meetings and updates on project progress.
4. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Manage project budgets, forecast costs, and control expenses.
- Work with the procurement team to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials.
- Minimize wastage and optimize resource utilization.
5. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure work quality and adherence to design intent.
- Implement risk assessment and mitigation plans for project challenges.
6. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and finishes as per design requirements.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in office interiors, fit-outs, or construction project management.
- Proven track record of delivering high-end corporate office interior projects.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- High proficiency in project management tools like MS Project, Primavera, or similar.
- Strong financial acumen for budget management and cost control.
- Exceptional communication and client-handling skills.
- Knowledge of design, MEP, and fit-out processes.
