About Our Client:

A cutting-edge health and fitness tech Global company focused on optimizing human performance through innovative wearable devices and personalized insights.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Global General Counsel with deep litigation strategy expertise. The GC will lead our global litigation efforts, develop and execute IP protection & enforcement strategies (especially practice around patents), advise the executive leadership and board on legal risk, and partner cross-functionally (R&D;, product, regulatory, commercial, strategy) to support growth and defend the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Owned the company's litigation and investigations strategy, with a focus on patent/IP, competition, trade secret, product, and strategic commercial disputes. Defined litigation objectives, risk appetite, forum selection, settlement strategy, and regularly advised the CEO and Board on key matters.
- Served as the principal legal adviser to the CEO,



providing explicit legal options, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations. Led Board reporting on material disputes, regulatory risks, governance, and overall legal preparedness.
- Defined the enterprise IP and freedom-to-operate (FTO) risk framework in partnership with the IP team, ensuring product, engineering, and marketing decisions were aligned with patent claims, prior art, enforcement risks, and litigation strategy.
- Established governance and oversight for all material disputes by defining objectives, risk thresholds, settlement approach, litigation budgets, and escalation mechanisms for CEO and Board visibility.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Around 15+ years of high-quality legal experience, including meaningful in-house leadership.
- Demonstrated ownership of high-stakes technology or IP disputes, and direct management of top-tier US and international litigation counsel.

Preferred:

- Consumer health, medtech, wearable, deep-tech hardware, regulated technology or similarly IP-intensive experience.
- Patent litigation, ITC or PTO proceedings, competition and antitrust, trade secrets or product litigation exposure.
- India-headquartered global-company experience. Public-company, financing, M&A; or IPO-readiness exposure.
- Familiar with AI tools, eager to learn, with a clear view of where AI accelerates legal work
