Role Title: Lead Full Stack Developer

Function: Group Technology & Operations (GTO) — Actuarial Solutions

Location: Hyderabad

Role Purpose:

- The Senior Full Stack Developer designs, builds, and maintains high-quality, secure, and scalable application features for actuarial and financial platforms. Working under architecture team guidance, the role combines deep .NET and Angular engineering with strong application lifecycle ownership — ensuring that changes are well-governed, technically sound, and aligned with enterprise security and development standards. The role contributes to platform reliability and evolution by bridging development, testing, and operational domains.
- Actuary IT Solutions is Zurich’s global capability within Finance, Investment & Treasury (FIT), responsible for running, stabilizing, and evolving shared actuarial platforms that support IFRS and Group Reporting across business units.




- We provide a unified and scalable operating model covering service management, platform operations, governance, compliance, and modernization—so actuarial teams can focus on business outcomes with confidence in platform reliability and control.
- Our portfolio includes Zurich’s core actuarial platforms such as ACE, GNLA, GRAND, and GLAD, operated as shared services with clear ownership, measurable KPIs, and standardized processes. We continuously modernize this landscape to improve resilience, speed, cost efficiency, and long-term sustainability, while reducing operational risk and complexity.

Key Accountabilities:

Application Development & Engineering:

- Design and develop new features and enhancements under architecture team guidance.
- Build and maintain full-stack solutions using .NET (backend) and Angular (frontend).
- Develop and manage APIs — including setup, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and publishing.
- Write clean, maintainable .NET code aligned with .NET 10 standards and patterns.
- Develop .NET workers to support high-volume data processing scenarios where required.

Application Management & Governance:

- Manage application functionalities and understand dependencies between components.
- Identify and highlight the downstream and upstream impact of proposed changes before implementation.
- Manage solution components and integration dependencies with connected systems.
- Maintain alignment with application development and security best practices at all times.
- Review application changes and approve or raise exceptions where required.

Quality, Testing & Issue Resolution:





- Support testing and validation of application changes across development and UAT cycles.
- Participate in defect triage sessions, providing technical analysis and resolution guidance.
- Oversee issue resolution, ensuring root causes are identified and fixes are properly validated.

Collaboration & Delivery:

- Manage demand and dependency planning to support delivery commitments.
- Collaborate effectively with architecture, testing, and business analysis teams.
- Contribute to CI/CD deployment pipelines and support release management activities.
- Share knowledge and support capability development within the team.

Skills & Experience:

Required Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a focus on .NET and Angular.
- 2+ years working with MS SQL and/or Azure SQL databases.
- Proven experience delivering new projects end-to-end, not just maintenance or support.

Technical Skills:

- Strong expertise in .NET development, including .NET 10.
- Proficient in Angular for frontend development.
- Solid API skills: design, setup, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and publishing.
- Solid SQL skills across MS SQL and/or Azure SQL databases.
- Understanding of Azure cloud services and infrastructure.

Nice to Have:

- Experience developing .NET workers handling high data volumes.
- React knowledge as an additional frontend capability.
- Familiarity with CI/CD deployments and release automation.
- Basic actuarial knowledge or exposure to financial calculation platforms.

Education:
