Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Full Stack Engineer role based in Gurugram.

The Full Stack

Engineer will design, develop, and maintain web applications that power Instant Mechanic’s car care platform, working across both front-end and back-end systems. The role involves building responsive user interfaces, developing scalable backend services, creating and integrating APIs, implementing automation, working with Celery for background tasks, and integrating third-party services. The engineer will collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, write clean and testable code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions and development processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain web applications using Python and Django.
- Build scalable backend services, APIs, and business logic.
- Develop responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs and third-party APIs.
- Implement background jobs and asynchronous processing using Celery.
- Develop automation workflows and tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Work with databases and optimize queries and application performance.
- Integrate third-party services including payment, communication, maps, and other APIs.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement reliable solutions.




- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and other AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, debugging, testing, and development workflows.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Python with hands-on development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Django.
- Experience with Celery and background task processing.
- Hands-on experience with automation and scripting.
- Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with API development and third-party API integrations.
- Good understanding of databases and backend architecture.
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a quick-paced environment.
- Experience with AI development tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Experience with Redis.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with React or other frontend frameworks.
- Experience with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Experience integrating payment gateways, maps, SMS, WhatsApp, email, or other third-party services.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM APIs and AI-powered application development.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on Full Stack Engineer who can work across the backend, frontend, APIs, automation, and integrations. The candidate should be comfortable taking a feature from business requirements through backend development, frontend implementation, API integration, automation, testing, and deployment. A strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, ownership, and willingness to leverage modern AI tools like Claude to build high-quality software efficiently are highly valued.
