Role Description The Freelance Software Engineer role at PInterview is a full-time remote position focused on building and maintaining the platform that powers live online mock interviews and related services. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and testing backend services and APIs, implementing new features, and optimizing performance and scalability for high-traffic, real-time sessions.

The engineer will collaborate with product, design, and other technical team members to translate business requirements into reliable, secure software solutions. Typical tasks involve writing clean, maintainable code, reviewing code from peers,



troubleshooting and resolving production issues, integrating third-party services, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices. The role also includes proactive participation in planning, estimation, and continuous improvement of the engineering workflow.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture principles.
- Experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar).
- Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side frameworks.
- Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cooperative development workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying scalable, secure web services is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience with real-time communication systems, online education platforms, or interview preparation tools is a plus.
