: Manager Finance & Compliance

Location: Ghatkopar, Mumbai

Reporting to: Director – Finance

Qualification: Chartered Accountant

Experience: 1–2 years of post-qualification experience

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to manage financial reporting, accounting, audits, taxation and statutory compliance. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a rapid-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead monthly financial close activities and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, MIS and month-end reporting packs.
- Review balance-sheet reconciliations, ledgers and accounting entries.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls and company policies.
- Manage statutory, internal and tax audits and coordinate with auditors for timely closure.
- Handle corporate compliances under the Companies Act, including ROC filings and board- and shareholder-related matters.
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, income tax and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Monitor tax assessments, notices and regulatory filings, coordinating with consultants where required.




- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management and variance analysis.
- Identify and drive process-improvement and automation initiatives across financial reporting and compliance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on finance, taxation and compliance matters.

Requirements

- Qualified Chartered Accountant.
- 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit or compliance.
- Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), the Companies Act, GST, TDS and direct taxation.
- Hands-on experience in monthly book closure, financial-statement preparation and audit coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting or ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP or Oracle.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within defined timelines.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working in a startup, healthcare, consumer or technology-driven organisation.
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting and group-level reporting.
- Familiarity with process automation and finance-transformation initiatives.
