Role Summary:
Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and financial controls. The role ensures accurate and timely accounting records and supports management with financial information for decision-making.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank transactions.
- Close books of accounts on monthly basis.
- Supervise and review accounting entries, invoices, payments, receipts, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
- Manage bank, customer, vendor, and ledger reconciliations.
- Monitor receivables and payables and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Ensure timely GST, TDS, income-tax, and other statutory compliance as applicable.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, vendors, and customers.
- Assist with budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and financial planning.
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal financial controls.
- Review expenses and identify discrepancies, errors, or potential financial risks.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of accounting records.
- Lead and supervise the accounts team and allocate work effectively.
- Support management with financial analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure accounting activities comply with applicable Accounting Standards and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA Inter / CA / MBA Finance qualification is an advantage.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong knowledge of local accounting practices and taxation.
- Experience with Tally/ERP/accounting software and MS Excel.
