Role Description The Field Supervisor is a full time, on-site role based in Lonar. This position oversees daily field activities related to vegetable seed production, including monitoring crop growth, supervising field staff, and ensuring adherence to agronomic practices and company standards.

The Field

Supervisor coordinates planting, maintenance, and harvesting schedules, maintains accurate field records, and reports progress to management. The role involves regular site visits, liaison with farmers and local partners, and timely identification and resolution of field-related issues.

Supervisor also supports implementation of safety guidelines and quality control procedures across all assigned fields.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of agriculture or horticulture practices, preferably in vegetable cultivation and seed production.
- Experience in field supervision, team coordination, and on-site operational management.
- Ability to maintain detailed field records, prepare basic reports, and use mobile or computer-based tools for data entry.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with farmers, field staff, and management.
- Capability to work full-time in on-site, outdoor conditions and manage multiple field locations in and around Lonar.
- Attention to quality, adherence to safety standards, and willingness to follow company procedures and guidelines.
- Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred; relevant field experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Basic knowledge of local languages and familiarity with the regional agricultural context will be an advantage.
