Role Description The Field Sales Executive EDC role is a full time, on-site position based in Mathura. The role involves identifying and onboarding merchants for Paytm’s Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and other payment solutions, visiting local businesses to explain product features, and demonstrating device usage.

The Field Sales

Executive will maintain relationships with merchants, ensure device activation and usage, collect feedback, and coordinate with internal teams for issue resolution. Day-to-day tasks include achieving sales and activation targets, tracking performance metrics, preparing basic sales reports,



and representing Paytm professionally in the local market.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong field sales and business development skills, including lead generation, merchant onboarding, and relationship management.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical products in simple terms and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess basic technical and operational understanding of digital payments, EDC/POS devices, and UPI-based transactions.
- Candidates should possess planning and reporting skills, including territory management, target tracking, and basic data or CRM updating.
- Prior experience in field sales or fintech/payments will be an advantage, along with familiarity with the local Mathura market.
- Ability to work independently in the field, meet daily visit and activity targets, and maintain a customer-focused approach.
- Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Comfortable using smartphones and mobile apps for work, with willingness to travel within assigned areas as required.
