Role Description This full-time ETL Tester role is based in Bengaluru and follows a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with flexibility for some work from home. The ETL Tester will design, execute, and maintain test cases for ETL processes, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across source, staging, and target systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing test data, performing functional and non-functional testing of ETL jobs, validating transformations and mappings,



and documenting defects with clear reproduction steps.

The role involves collaborating closely with data engineers, developers, business analysts, and quality assurance teams to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and support releases. The ETL Tester will also contribute to test planning, regression testing, test automation initiatives for data pipelines, and continuous improvement of testing standards and practices.

Qualifications

- Candidate should possess strong Software Testing and Quality Assurance skills relevant to ETL and data-centric applications.
- Candidate should possess hands-on Test Execution experience and the ability to design and maintain effective Test Cases.
- Candidate should possess strong Analytical Skills for validating complex data transformations, troubleshooting issues, and interpreting results.
- Candidate should possess knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and relational databases (e.g., SQL-based systems).
- Candidate should possess familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
- Relevant experience with ETL tools or data integration platforms (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar) is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and meet project timelines.
- Must have experience with Azure Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, ADF.
