Role Description This is a full-time Design Engineer role based in Mumbai with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home.

The Design

Engineer will be responsible for creating and reviewing engineering designs for pharmaceutical plant components and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Day-to-day tasks include developing detailed CAD models and drawings, collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineering teams, and supporting product design from concept through installation. The role involves coordinating with project managers and on-site teams, preparing technical documentation,



and contributing to design improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and reliability.

The Design

Engineer will also participate in design reviews, troubleshoot design issues, and support continuous improvement in HVAX’s project integration and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design for industrial or process-based environments.
- Relevant background in Mechanical Engineering for equipment, systems, and structural design.
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drawings and 3D modeling.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering principles as they relate to integrated plant systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical or process industry.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams and hybrid settings.
- Experience in pharmaceutical projects or cleanroom/HVAC system design is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to evolving project needs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
