Role Description The Entrepreneur in Residence (Logistics & Operations) is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This role involves overseeing end-to-end logistics and operations for coir pith production and export, including planning, coordinating, and optimizing workflows across manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution. The EIR will design and implement process improvements, manage vendor and transporter relationships, monitor inventory and dispatch schedules, and ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries to domestic and international customers.

The role includes tracking operational KPIs, troubleshooting bottlenecks on the shop floor, and collaborating with leadership on scaling strategies and new operational initiatives. The EIR will also support compliance with safety,



quality, and export regulations while building solid cross-functional collaboration with production, finance, and sales teams.

Qualifications

- Experience in logistics management and operations planning, preferably in manufacturing, agri-inputs, or export-oriented industries.
- Strong skills in process optimization, workflow design, and continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, basic Kaizen or similar methodologies).
- Ability to manage vendor, transporter, and supplier relationships, including negotiation and performance monitoring.
- Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including use of spreadsheets, ERP or inventory tools, and basic analytics.
- Knowledge of export operations, documentation, and compliance for international shipments is highly beneficial.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field; an MBA or entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a factory environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and take ownership of outcomes.
- Interest in sustainable materials, agriculture, or environmental impact-oriented businesses is desirable.
