Key Responsibilities

Architecture Governance

- Lead Governance and Feasibility reviews (organizing and managing architecture domain reviews)

- Review architecture designs produced by Solution Architects

- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, security, data, integration, AI, and technology guidelines

- Prepare EA-Reviews for approval, conditional approval, or escalate architecture decisions

Enterprise Architecture Management

- Maintain capability maps and application portfolio views

- Identify duplication, overlapping solutions, and technical debt

- Develop target-state architectures and transformation roadmaps

- Drive standardization and platform adoption

Architecture Assurance

- Challenge build-vs-buy decisions

- Validate solution fit within the Mars and RC ecosystem

- Verify non-functional requirements, scalability, resiliency, security, and supportability

- Track architecture risks and technical debt

- Guide technology simplification and rationalization initiatives





Architecture Community

- Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Domain Architects and Digital Governance specialists

- Maintain architecture principles, reference architectures, and review templates

- Contribute to architecture communities of practice

Success Measures

- EAR turnaround time

- Number of duplicate technologies avoided

- Compliance rate with architecture standards

- Reduction of technical debt

- Reuse of strategic platforms

- Stakeholder satisfaction with governance process

Typical Skills

- 5-7+ years architecture experience

- Robust governance and stakeholder management

- Broad knowledge across applications, integration, data, security, cloud

- Excellent facilitation and influencing skills

- Ability to challenge solutions constructively

- Preferably experience in CPG, B2B, B2C, e-Commerce, Supply chain

What this role does NOT do

- Own project delivery

- Produce detailed implementation designs

- Manage development teams

- Act as product owner
