Position: Electrical Engineer – Medical Device R&D; / Sustaining Engineering

Role Overview:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for electrical/electronic architecture, design, integration, troubleshooting, verification and sustaining engineering of medical-device products. The role will collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Software, Quality, Regulatory and Manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain electrical/electronic designs for medical devices.
- Translate system requirements into electrical requirements and specifications.
- Develop and review schematics, PCB designs and electrical architecture.
- Perform component selection and technical evaluation.
- Work with sensors, actuators, power systems and instrumentation.
- Support analog/digital electronics and embedded hardware.
- Work with firmware/software teams for HW/SW integration.
- Perform electrical design analysis and troubleshooting.
- Support power management and signal integrity activities.
- Develop electrical verification protocols and reports.
- Execute electrical and system-level testing.
- Support EMC/EMI and electrical safety testing.
- Support risk analysis, hardware DFMEA and failure investigations.
- Support component obsolescence and lifecycle management.
- Support engineering changes and sustaining engineering.
- Collaborate with PCB manufacturers, suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Support design transfer and manufacturing issues.
- Maintain DHF and engineering documentation.
- Support regulatory submissions and compliance activities.
- Ensure designs meet applicable medical-device safety and regulatory requirements.
