Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage electrical engineering and design activities for large-scale commercial projects.
- Develop and review electrical system designs, layouts, specifications and technical reports.
- Design and review HT/LT power distribution systems, transformers, substations, DG sets, UPS, APFC, MCC and electrical panels.
- Carry out electrical load calculations, voltage-drop calculations, short-circuit studies and cable sizing.
- Design and review lighting, emergency lighting, small power, earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, equipment schedules and schematic drawings.
- Prepare and review BOQs, technical specifications, tender documents and design calculations.
- Review contractor/shop drawings, material submittals and technical proposals.
- Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, ELV and other MEP disciplines.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct technical reviews, design coordination meetings and site inspections.
- Monitor installation and execution of electrical works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance during testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems.
- Identify technical issues and provide effective engineering solutions during design and construction stages.
- Ensure compliance with applicable NBC, IS, IEC and other relevant national/international electrical standards and statutory requirements.
- For airport projects,



exposure to aviation-specific electrical systems and requirements will be an advantage.
- Ensure quality, safety and timely completion of electrical engineering deliverables.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior electrical engineers and design team members.
- Participate in client presentations, technical discussions and design review meetings.
- Support project management and business development teams with technical inputs for proposals and tenders.

Qualifications

- Minimum 15 years of overall experience in Electrical Engineering/MEP projects.
- Solid experience in large-scale commercial and building projects.
- Candidates with experience in Airports, Hospitals, Hotels, Shopping Malls, IT Parks, Commercial Complexes, Data Centres or Institutional Buildings will be preferred.
- Experience in both design consultancy and project execution will be an added advantage.
- Should have experience in handling projects from concept/design through construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
