Role Description The Drawing Checker role at Vitech Heavy Equipments Pvt. Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Thane.

The Drawing

Checker is responsible for reviewing and verifying engineering drawings for process equipment to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal specifications. This role involves cross-checking dimensions, materials, weld details, and fabrication notes, and coordinating with design engineers and production teams to resolve discrepancies or clarify design intent.

Checker prepares and updates documentation, maintains revision control,



and supports quality assurance activities related to drawings and technical records. Day-to-day activities include close collaboration with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to help ensure that designs are manufacturable and meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in engineering drawing review, including reading and interpreting mechanical and fabrication drawings, P&IDs;, and layout plans.
- Candidates should possess skills in CAD or drafting software (such as AutoCAD or similar tools) and be comfortable working with 2D and basic 3D design files.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant codes and standards (such as ASME, IBR, and related pressure vessel and piping standards) and basic understanding of welding and fabrication practices.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and capability to identify inconsistencies or errors in technical documentation.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, quality personnel, and shop floor teams, and the ability to document and report findings clearly.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, and prior experience in drawing checking or fabrication/pressure equipment industry, would be highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with ISO-certified quality systems, document control procedures, and basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, and documentation
