Role Profile: Director of Quantum Partnerships

Position Overview

As the Director of Quantum Partnerships, you will be the bridge between our organization and the global quantum technology ecosystem. You will cultivate strategic alliances with universities, corporate R&D; divisions, government agencies, and cloud hyperscalers to accelerate the commercialization of quantum technologies. This highly visible leadership role requires a deep understanding of deep-tech, international business diplomacy, and complex deal-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Ecosystem Development: Define and execute a comprehensive partnership roadmap tailored to our organization's technology goals.
- Joint Development & Research: Negotiate, structure, and manage joint development programs (JDPs)



and research initiatives with tier-1 research institutions and technology partners.
- Commercial & Strategic Alliances: Build alliances with cloud providers, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and industrial system integrators to drive commercial adoption and market reach.
- Government & Public Sector Relations: Collaborate with sovereign governments, policy-makers, and national quantum initiatives to secure funding and align with sovereign technology roadmaps.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the primary liaison bridging business development, engineering, and product teams to translate partner requirements into technical milestones.
- Executive Advocacy: Advocate for our quantum initiatives through clear communication of technical milestones and demonstrated Return on Investment (ROI) to key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related deep-tech discipline is highly preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or technology sales, with at least 5 years specifically within the deep-tech, HPC (High-Performance Computing), or quantum ecosystem.
- Technical Literacy: Strong foundational knowledge of quantum computing, cryogenics, quantum networking, or related modalities to credibly engage with researchers and CTOs.
- Partner Network: Existing, robust network of relationships across the quantum technology sector (academics, government, and industry).
- Deal-Making Skills: Proven track record of negotiating high-value, long-cycle contracts and co-development or distribution agreements.
