About the RoleShah Gems LLP is looking for a Diamond Manufacturing & Operations Executive to work closely with management and oversee the complete process of diamonds from the factory through to the selling department.

The role requires a strong understanding of diamond manufacturing, cutting & polishing, quality control, and factory operations across both natural and lab-grown diamonds.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can not only coordinate the process but also understand the technical aspects of diamond manufacturing and identify what needs to be improved.

Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing & Factory Coordination

- Work directly with management and coordinate with the manufacturing/factory team.
- Monitor diamonds through the complete manufacturing process, from rough to polished.
- Understand the different stages of planning, cutting, faceting, polishing, and finishing.
- Track diamond lots and ensure production is progressing according to requirements.
- Coordinate between the factory, manufacturing team, quality control, and selling department.
- Follow up on production timelines and pending work.

Quality Control & Manufacturing Analysis

- Conduct and assist with quality checks of polished diamonds.
- Identify issues with the cut, make, symmetry, proportions, polish, faceting, and overall appearance of a diamond.
- When a diamond has a poor or undesirable cut, understand what went wrong during manufacturing and why.
- Be able to communicate clearly with the manufacturing team about what needs to be changed or corrected.
- Analyse whether an issue is related to the planning, cutting, faceting, polishing, proportions, or finishing process.
- Help reduce manufacturing losses and improve the overall quality and yield of production.
- Ensure diamonds meet the required quality standards before being transferred to the selling department.

Natural & Lab-Grown Diamonds





- Handle manufacturing and quality-control processes for both natural and lab-grown diamonds.
- Understand the differences in manufacturing considerations between natural and lab-grown rough.
- Monitor the quality and characteristics of diamonds throughout the production process.

Operations & Management Support

- Maintain proper records of diamond lots, production status, quality issues, and completed goods.
- Follow up with different teams to ensure smooth movement of diamonds from factory to selling.
- Identify delays, errors, and operational issues and report them to management.
- Assist management in improving manufacturing processes and overall operational efficiency.
- Take ownership of assigned production and operational responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements
- Strong knowledge of diamond manufacturing and cutting & polishing processes.
- Ability to understand diamond proportions, facets, symmetry, polish, and make.
- Ability to identify why a diamond has a poor cut/make and determine what needs to be corrected.
- Practical understanding of rough-to-polished diamond manufacturing.
- Knowledge of both natural and lab-grown diamonds is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and quality-control mindset.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work closely with factory workers, manufacturers, QC teams, and management.
- Strong follow-up skills and ability to take responsibility for the complete process.
- Previous experience in a diamond manufacturing unit/factory is strongly preferred.

The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who can think beyond simply checking whether a diamond is valuable or bad. The ideal candidate should be able to look at a diamond and explain:

“What is wrong with this diamond, why did this happen during manufacturing, and what needs to be changed to improve it?”

The candidate will work closely with management and will have exposure to the complete diamond manufacturing-to-selling process across both natural and lab-grown diamonds.
